At Witherslack Care & Education Initiatives we recognise the importance that education plays in the future experiences and positive life chances of the young people in our care. We believe that every young person has a right to access education of the highest quality and at a level appropriate to their individual ability and circumstances.
The vast majority of young people accommodated by Witherslack Care & Education Initiatives are educated within the Witherslack Group of Schools or attend a local College of Further Education. The schools provide a wide range of high quality experiences which are invariably assessed as being "Good" or "Outstanding" by Ofsted. The schools cater for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs including;
The exception to this is The Grange, a new dynamic, innovative facility providing specialist therapeutic care and education on a semi-rural site. The Grange has a Learning Centre, registered as a school with the DCSF.
